DAY 1: COPENHAGEN
Arrival in Copenhagen. Free transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 2: ODENSE
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide in the morning and start of the city tour of Copenhagen with a local guide. Among the numerous attractions, you will admire the Royal residence at Amalienborg Palace (external visit), the famous Nyhavn canal with its colorful buildings, the Little Mermaid, the Parliament building, Rosenborg Castle (external visit), and the Royal Garden. At the end of the tour, departure to the island of Fyn. Arrival in the afternoon in the city of Odense with free time for an initial exploration of the historic Danish city. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 3: CHRISTIANSFELD - RIBE - ESBJERG
Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with a visit to the historic center of Odense and continues with a visit to the museum dedicated to Hans Christian Andersen, the most famous Danish writer, born in Odense. At the end of the visit, departure for the Jylland peninsula. First stop in Christiansfeld, a superb example of a Moravian Lutheran congregation town built in the 18th century and now included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites. Later, arrival and visit to Ribe, the oldest Danish city, with its charming medieval old town. Arrival in Esbjerg in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4: JELLING - AARHUS
Breakfast at the hotel. After a brief stop in front of the symbolic sculpture 'Man Meets the Sea' in Esbjerg, the journey continues to the central region of the Jylland peninsula. Along the way, a stop in Jelling to admire the Runic Stones dating back to the 10th century, a symbol of the introduction of Christianity in Denmark and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, arrival in Aarhus and the first exploration of the second most important city in the Scandinavian country. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 5: SKAGEN – AALBORG
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Skagen, the northernmost point of Denmark. You will reach Grenen, a narrow sandbar where you can witness the spectacular phenomenon of the two opposing currents of the Skagerrak and Kattegat seas tumultuously converging. In the afternoon, arrival in Aalborg, the most important cultural center in northern Denmark, blending port tradition and architectural innovation. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 6: ROSKILDE
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, bus departure to reach the ferry embarkation point Aarhus – Sjellands Odde. The ship will take you back to Zealand, the main island of the country, where you will visit Roskilde, the ancient capital of Denmark. Here, you will discover the Viking and medieval history of the city and the surrounding fjord, and visit the Gothic-Romanesque cathedral. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 7: NORTHERN ZEALAND CASTLES – COPENHAGEN
Breakfast at the hotel. The morning will be dedicated to exploring the northern part of Zealand and its castles. First stop at the magnificent Renaissance Frederiksborg Castle for a visit. Continue to Helsingør for an (external) visit to Kronborg Castle, where Shakespeare set his Hamlet. In the afternoon, return to Copenhagen with free time. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 8: DEPARTUREBreakfast at the hotel. Free transfer to the airport.
