Island Odyssey: Combined Adventure through Kos, Patmos, Leros, and Athens!

About the destination: Kos or Cos is a Greek island, part of the Dodecanese island chain in the southeastern Aegean Sea, off the Anatolian coast of Turkey. The principal town of the island and seat of the municipality is Kos town. The island has a 14th-century fortress at the entrance to its harbour, erected in 1315 by the Knights Hospitaller, and another from the Byzantine period in Antimachia. The Ancient Agora. The ancient market place of Kos was considered one of the biggest in the ancient world. In the western side excavations led to the findings of rooms with mosaic floors which showed beastfights, a theme quite popular in Kos.

About the destination: Patmos is a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea, one of the northernmost islands of the Dodecanese complex. Worldwide known as a sacred island for it is the place where Saint John wrote the Book of Revelation, Patmos is an ideal destination for nature lovers thanks to its lace-like coastline, sheer cliffs and volcanic soil. Designated as “Holy Island” by the Greek Parliament in 1981 as well as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, Patmos had been used as a place of exile by the Romans on account of its steep morphology.

About the destination: Leros is a Greek island and municipality in the Dodecanese in the southern Aegean Sea. Leros is part of the Kalymnos regional unit. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - Platanos, the island's capital, sits on the brow of a hill and has well-preserved, stately residences. - Lakki features Rationalist architecture, an imprint of early 20th-century Italian occupation. - Alinta's Belleni Tower is home of the Folklore and History Museum. - At Merikia beach, the War Museum sits inside a restored military tunnel.

About the destination: Athens takes its name after the goddess of wisdom Athena, who is celebrated by the magnificent Acropolis, which overlooks the modern, cosmopolitan city that Athens is today. Athens is one of the world’s oldest cities and it is the birthplace of western philosophy, democracy and theater. Up to this date, the Greek capital remains a major worldwide centre of culture, with its historic centre, iconic classical sites and museums filled with ancient Greece artefacts. The Acropolis, crowned by the emblematic Parthenon, has been proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cars were banned from the historic centre, which has become the most striking pedestrian promenade in Europe.
