Savina Spain

La Sabina (in Catalan and officially sa Savina) is the first urban center encountered by everyone who arrives in Formentera. It is located in the northern part of l'Estany des Peix and it contains the port that connects Formentera with Ibiza and, in some months of the year, with Denia. The port of La Sabina is the smallest port managed by the Port Authority of both the Pitiusas and the Balearic Islands. Despite this, it is an essential and vital part of everyday life on the island, as it is the only entry point for passengers and goods. More than a million passengers pass through its docks every year. It is a port that has semi-detached docks, a dock for the fishing industry of Formentera and two yacht clubs. The Formentera dock measures 280 meters and has multiple points for larger vessels and has a modern maritime station.
