Ses Illetes Beach Spain

Ses Illetes is a beach located on the island of Formentera, in the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It is located on the northern stretch of coast of Formentera, at the tip of Es Trucadors. It is located in the natural park of ses Salines and belongs to the parish of Sant Ferran de Ses Roques. The name comes from the existence of several islets and reefs located in front of its waters. Located 4 km from La Savina, with bus services, maritime routes and a bicycle route, it is one of the most frequented beaches in Formentera. The beaches are oriented to the west, except for the sections of n'Adolf, es Primer, es Segon and es Tercer, which are open to both west and east. The beaches are dunes, forming a slope of fine sand with a gentle slope. The depth 50 meters from the beach is 1.5 m. The bottom is covered with posidonia meadows, making the water crystal clear and a suitable place to practice scuba diving. For its beauty and high natural and landscape value it has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In addition, it is considered the best beach in Spain, the second in Europe and the fifth in the world.
